Transitioning to a Headless CMS powered website

Brickhunter is a UK-based company specialising in the supply of bricks and related services, from estimations to Brick matching and collections, assisting customers in selecting and sourcing the ideal bricks for their construction projects.

This project focused on providing Brickhunter with a new website built using the popular headless CMS (Content Management System) Storyblok. This new CMS would provide the Brickhunter team with a simplified way of uploading content and maximising SEO as well as providing the framework for customers to purchase brick samples through an online shop linked to their customer database, all of which is critical for the growth and scalability of Brickhunter.

The Problem

Whilst Brickhunter had a functioning website, it was heavily reliant on having a software development resource in order to make both complex and simple changes, prohibiting the marketing team from making changes to content. The main obstacle to overcome was the fact that the solution needed to be able to support future growth and features – something that the current website was not set up to do, whilst also removing the need for a developer to be present to make simple changes to the website and the content.

How We Helped

The Solution

After reviewing the primary needs and challenges faced during an in-depth discovery session, it was decided to continue the work transitioning the Brickhunter website onto the Storyblok platform, where a developer would no longer be required to make changes to any website content.

As a headless CMS, Stroyblok  would allow users to easily upload blog content and make changes to the website using the built-in visual editor, removing the need for an experienced developer to make such changes.

The new website with Storyblok not only provides a simple and easy way for the Brickhunter team to make changes and upload content via the visual editor, but also provides the framework and stability for future growth and features that are currently being planned and developed.
