It was good to be back at Sheffield DevOps to talk about Scalable Monitoring Dashboard with Commodity Hardware.
The talk is an explanation, a run through and a practical demo of how to build monitoring dashboards with a Raspberry PI and other commodity hardware.
In the talk I consolidated everything you’d need to know in order to implement your own dashboard on commodity hardware, supplemented with what I learned when I used this to monitor a global platform.
It was a great turn out last night with a full house which always makes for a good atmosphere.
Great talks at @sheffieldDevops yesterday evening. @PaulRidgway showed us to boot a Raspberry Pi with no SD card using TFTP and PXE plus Sam Smith discussed SRE concepts with cathartic moments. Plus there was pie, mash and peas.
