Transformation in Practice: A Roundtable with S4S Dental Laboratory

Hear directly from a business that’s done the hard digital transformation work and come out the other side

Most digital transformation conversations happen before the work starts, or after it’s been polished into a case study.

This one happens in the middle of it.

S4S are one of the UK’s largest dental laboratories. 600 to 800 orders a day. Two sites. A business that had grown faster than its systems could handle. When The Curve mapped their operation, they found manual processes embedded at every stage, fragmented data across a dozen platforms, and core software the supplier had stopped improving.

In 2024, S4S engaged The Curve to map the full picture, identify where the friction was, and build a roadmap for what better could look like. What followed was a phased programme of automation, integration, and systems improvement that’s still running today.

This roundtable brings together the people who led it on both sides, for a straight conversation about what the journey actually involved.

What you’ll walk away with:

  • A clear view of what a real transformation programme looks like from the inside, not a highlights reel

  • An honest account of where it’s hard, what breaks, and what you do about it

  • A framework for prioritising when the problem list is longer than the budget

  • Practical insight on what changes first, and why that matters

  • A clearer sense of whether your business is ready to start, or ready to go further

The event is closed door. Chatham House. No presentations. Breakfast provided. Places strictly limited.

Speakers:

John Bevan, Commercial Director, S4S (UK) Dental Laboratory.
